About the Instructor
Molly McMenamin trained in classical ballet with Julie A. Caprio in New Jersey, USA. While in the Professional Training Program she also studied with Briansky Ballet and Festival Ballet Providence, and performed with Hamilton Ballet Theatre.
Molly graduated with a degree in Dance from Barnard College, NYC, where she focused on ballet and contemporary dance. At Barnard she performed in works by Ori Flomin, Sidra Bell, & Larry Keigwin, and studied with Colleen Thomas, Jodi Melnick, Robert LaFosse, Katie Glasner, Mary Cochran, & Cynthia Anderson. She completed a study abroad semester at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne.
After graduation, Molly performed as a contemporary dance artist.
In Australia she worked with Russell Dumas' Dance Exchange. This included performances in Dance Massive, at Dancehouse, residencies in Europe, and showings in NYC.
She currently lives in Wollongong, and performs as a Professional Ballroom dancer with her husband and dance partner.

Molly is interested in working with students to create ease of movement through an understanding of anatomy and body mechanics. She focuses on helping dancers understand the principles of ballet technique to gain confidence and proficiency in all aspects of class.
